Time for a change

The DM symptoms had started to grow, and the fatigue was driving me crazy. So thought over long and hard last weekend and broke the news on monday at work.  I had to finally quit my job. I do have to serve notice for two months, so continuing with my projects for next two months for now. 

All my managers gave me unconditional support and told me to work from home and tried to persuade me. It was a very difficult decision to take, for one I loved working here. I got promoted just 2-3 months back, but the quality of work and milestones I achieved here was unparalleled. I made some very good friends here and that friendship is going to last a lifetime. When I explained all this to my manager, he too had some very good things to say but totally understood me. It feels really sad departing from such a good company and such wonderful people. I hope our paths cross sometime in the future.

So what next ? Something close by to home. Also freelance work is at the back of my mind. But working a 9-6 job would be my first choice. Difficult to get such a job in today's world of cut throat competition and slow down hit industry. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The pressure of DM, fatigue, body pain , pressure of home loan & city life does pull me down sometimes. But reading inspirational stories and websites offering advice on life with such chronic illness helps to prepare for the fight ahead. Had a quiet few weekends, no outings. Last week had a scare at work when my hands started shaking before lunch time. So was on leave for couple of days. Feeling much better after relaxing a bit. Have few tests to be done monday morning and would be resuming work. Hope things have improved on the blood work front !
