Exam Time

Its that time of the year when I stay up late nights , not for partying ... but studying. Although major part of studying is accomplished only during the week of the university exams! This time 'round I had made a resolution to start atleast 2 weeks before exams. Well like every semester I haven't remotely abide by the resolution! Anyhow still couple of days to go before exams.

Good thing about this semester was that I got almost a month long break for studies from work & college. This is going to be my final year of master's degree. After working on the project, I am finding that most of the subjects contain only theory knowledge. Whereas the scenario in the IT industry here is far from it.

Coming back to my health front, things have improved a little. I exercise every day. However sometimes these days I feel I don't have the strength & stamina that I used to have say an year ago. Stress of last few months is slowly going away. Winter is just round the corner, so all the DM related skin issues are starting to come up. My face really hurts sometimes. Tried putting creams for the dry skin. But its not improving much.

Other issues that I have ignored for a long time are eyecare & bloodwork. I feel tired after working on the computer for more than 8 hours a day. The medicines for the optic nerve atrophy havent brought about any significant improvement in eyesight. I have yet to carry out the blood tests this month. Last time I checked , liver enzymes were slightly high than normal levels. Whereas CPK was almost 990!!! Hope its within acceptable limits.

Once my exams are over , I have to take a hard look at my treatment. Right now I'm just afraid to start any new treatment. Since the Dermatomyositis meds are equally bad like the DM symptoms. Would hate to take meds like prednisone all over again. But have to do something about the high CPK. Its been 10 years now & am really tired of seeing those high cpk reports. My docs are surprised most of the time ,to see my muscle strength & the kind of activities I follow daily. But none of the treatments have actually improved the blood count. I'm just praying that the CPK is within normal range during the next lab test.

Also I wont be getting the lab test done before my exams. As it is ,I have lot to worry about. My blood pressure was normal , the last time I checked. So thats one thing of my dish. Hoping to chill out this weekend. I have finalized a new car, it has a refined engine than the current one with great interiors , have to decide on the colour once the exams are over. Also have to sell my current car. I've been driving the current car for almost four & half years now! Next few weeks are going to be pretty important. Need all the strength & stamina I can get!

Hoping for the best for the next few weeks !!

Long Time !

Its been a very long time since my last post. Almost 2 months ! I was in a very bad shape then. Fortunately things have come back to normal. I had some very stressful last couple of months. Just a week ago I was feeling that I had done too much. Was spending too much time on work, studies, weekend plans. To my relief I have got a one month break from work, college for my university exams since last week. Exams start in first week of december !

First couple of "holidays" were spent at my sister's place since she had a house warming party and watching loads of movies. Today I'm feeling much better, relaxed. I hope I can start studyin from tomorrow. Dun want to postpone it like every semester for last minute study. Also have to check out some digital camera & car deals. Hoping to get a new dcam & car soon :)

Although last few months have been very hectic, there were some memorable days. Had a great time at work. All my team members are very chilled out people. Also time at college was great. Hoping for the best for next few weeks !!
