Wednesday Night Blues
Well two incidents stung me hard last night.
Firstly the realization that I couldnot run for more than 5 mins. Over the years, like I have said my muscle strength has improved by a great deal. I usually donot practise running outside. Not sure why, but something to do with my speed n running action I suppose. So I never really counted time when I used to run while playing the occasional game of cricket,volleyball,... Y'day I decided to count the time. What I found was truly shocking for me. After about 2-3 mins my feet started to get really stiff. By the end of 5 mins, there was a lottt of discomfort. So I just gave up on the running. I have vowed to improve my running capacity & atleast be able to run 15 mins. And to think of what I dreamt in Jan about running a half marathon !! I would prolly stop by the end of the first mile.
Second incident hurt me more. Liverpool lost to AC Milan! Milan won 2-1. I was sorely disappointed because Liverpool dominated the first half and at the end of the half Milan scored a lucky goal. Just when I was thinking that the reds will win this time too surely. End of the match was like deja vu for the red fans. Trailing 2-0 , Kuyt scored at the 89min. But Milan veterans saw to it that there was no repeat of Istanbul.
Disappointed but not down n out!
